The two biggest keys are never play your gut feeling. Its all in the numbers. And money management. One of the best money management tips is set your daily budget say $100. Then set your hand budget say $5. So that gives you 30 hands(give or take a few) depending on your betting strategy. But once those 30 hands are up walk away. Whether you are up or down. You must have discipline.

IMO, the El Cortez, has the best low limit game, they have 6 single deck 3/2 games and the minimum is usually $5.

Main Street Station has a very nice casino & $5 minimums.

The Westin Casuarina has for several years had "Gamblers Happy Hour" from 5pm-10pm weekdays. Table minimums are $1 >I did not go over there in December, if you're interested call and check, this is a nice casino with very friendly dealers.

Slots-A-Fun usually has one very low limit table, but there is also usually a line to play, and I really don't care for the place(except for their giant hotdogs & beer) – Casino Royale is another with low limit table games, again, I don't care for this casino, other than their drink($1) specials. >If you want to give craps a shot, the Casino Royale has very low table minimums($1) and 100x odds

Not sure offhand, but unless you are convinced you are a very above-average dealer, you might reconsider – splitting tips helps protect you from slow nights when you're stuck with a table full of skinflints.

I also have played BJ many years with great success. I limit my sessions to no more than 2 hours, and limit my chip loss to $15 on any table. If I lose more than that I switch tables or casinos. My win rate is around 70%, you must keep a record of all your sessions. I've have been barred in 3 casinos. You must learn basic strategy and card counting. The key to winning, is how you accept losing sessions, like the hotshots on the movie 21 that thought they could not lose.

@staypress 16 is the worst hand in BJ because you can ONLY win if the dealer busts, which will happen less than half the time, thus improving your hand to a win even half the time is a +EV proposition.

As mentioned above, 16 is the worst hand in poker, so taking two 8s against any dealer upcard is better than hitting a 16 and trying to beat it.

well i dont know what it is in vegas but i live in new orleans and i know a few dealers and they make about 65000 a year thats an average poker dealers here in louisiana make about 75000 you have to remember most all casinos use the pool system where the tips get put into a pool then evenly distrubted between all the dealers on your shift its not a deal where you get 5 bucks and those are yours

you are allowed to bring one of those "cheat sheet" cards that you can buy at the sundries store to help you out. It will tell you when to hit or stand depending on your cards.

you can ALWAYS ask the dealer on what you should do.

ok the problem I always have is this. How can u draw on a 16 when u have more chance to bust than not whatever the dealer has and secondly how can u split 8’s when the dealer has a 9 or above so even if u get two 10’s the dealer can still beat u with one card only. I am confuse could someone please explain.
