LEARN TO SKATE
Center Ice offers one of the best Learn To Skate programs available! We typically run 6-week sessions in which you or your child will take classes one day a week. The classes are designed for beginners on up to the more advanced levels. Our professional coaching staff is dedicated to helping toddlers ages 3+ thru adults in achieving their desired skating skills.
Classes are 40 minutes long and include 30 minutes of lesson time and 10 minutes of practice time. Classes are held once per week.
Please Note: First-time LTS students should sign up for Basic 1, or Snowplow Sam 1 dependent on age. See below for details.
FIRST DAY PROCEDURE
Skaters should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time, allowing sufficient time for preparation.
Single blade hockey and figure skates are required. All sizes of hockey and figure skates are available to rent for only $2.00. Helmets are required for all children 5 years of age and under (bicycle helmets are acceptable).
Comfortable, flexible, and warm clothing, including hats and gloves or mittens, are recommended for all skaters.

SNOWPLOW 1 - 3
This class is designed for 3-5 year olds! The most elementary skating skills are combined with fun and games.
FREESKATE 1 - 6
Classes are designed for skaters who have passed Pre-Free Skate.
Accelerated Figure Skating
A program designed to fast-track skaters into figure skating in the easiest, most affordable way possible. See the "Figure Skating" page for more information.
BASIC SKILLS 1-2
Classes are designed for skaters 6-16 and for tots who have passed Snowplow 3
BASIC SKILLS 3 - 6
Classes are designed for skaters
who have passed Basic 1
Classes designed for skaters who want to go into Hockey. Skaters must pass Basic 1 to sign up for this class.
Class is designed for skaters who have passed Basic 6.
